Katherine: Los Angeles, California; Started in late 2010, "love and squalor" is a line of small goods; wallets, handbags, belt pouches, hand bound journals, suspenders, lapel pins, and jewelry. Hand woven items will also be introduced to the line this year. Each piece in the "love and squalor" line is unique. There is an emphasis on "old", focusing on the lost art of hand crafting. Vintage fabrics and inspiration shape the line, along with supple leathers and hand sewn details. Each tag is a one-of-a-kind antique photo. I'm very excited to document this process and let people in on my inspiration, my work, and my journey of starting a small business from home.
